What We Do    |    Staff    |    Members    |    Contact

The Council for Affordable Health Coverage (CAHC) is a broad-based alliance with a singular focus:  bringing down the cost of health care for all Americans.  Our membership reflects a broad range of interests—organizations representing small and large employers, manufacturers, insurers, brokers and agents, physician organizations and individual consumers.

Principles

ü  Contain and reduce costs by rewarding value over volume.

ü  Increase transparency by providing consumers and purchasers with comparative information on provider quality and efficiency and health plan benefit design.

ü  Reduce costs imposed by excessive taxes and mandates.

ü  Promote flexibility in benefit design that allows policy holders to select or retain the health coverage that best meets their needs.

ü  Expand consumer choice through coverage options that promote competition among providers and insurers.

ü  Strengthen the safety net by providing assistance to those who need help.
