| Although one
might presume that most people are uninsured because they
have no job, this is not the case. 81% of the uninsured under
age 65 work full or part-time. More than half work full-time.

Some industries are less likely
than others to offer health insurance. Farmers and other agricultural
workers, construction workers, and those who work in service
industries such as hospitality and retail have higher rates
of uninsurance.
CAHC believes that we should
help working Americans afford health insurance. There are
several solutions that can help make private health coverage
a reality for hard-working taxpaying Americans, including
health care tax credits and Health Savings Accounts.
